Home Up GM MAP Temperature

Honeywell model 4040PC100G4D Monolithic Signal Conditioned Pressure Sensors with 1/4" male pipe thread. Also shown are 2ea. 3/8" Prestolok tubing tee's with a 1/4" female pipe thread input which can be used to install the sensor in an existing line. These sensors are stainless and brass internally and are compatible with air as well as all automotive fluids including Freon. They are designed for harsh environments and can handle -49 to +257 degrees F. The connector is the standard Packard type such is used on most MAP and other sensors.

Supply voltage is +5.0 volts which is the standard for automotive sensors and found under the hood in any vehicle with a computer. The output voltage is 40MV/psi starting at 500mv reference (zero psi) and going to 4.5volts @ 100psi. Example: for 10psi output voltage will be 900mv.

As viewed in my photo the 3 connector pin functions are: bottom left is +5vdc input. Bottom right pin is ground and top center pin is voltage output (40mv/psi). These sensors are great for monitoring water pressure, fuel pressure, oil pressure, positive manifold pressure as well as truck airbrake line pressure.
